Welcome to Week 9 !

The weeks seem to be just rolling by!  Our lovely class continues to grow and they are learning new and exciting things everyday.  We are so thrilled with their progress and your support from home is helping them in their learning journey - Thank You!

It is with this newsletter that we would like to formally invite our Room 5 Whanau to a shared lunch to take place on Wednesday 23 September at 12.15.  We have been learning about Drama with our Wildly Important Topic tasks and have been practising all the elements we think we need in Drama to share a story with an audience.  We would very much like for you to be our audience.  Please RSVP on this blog notice (or send in a note with your child’s notebook).  The children will be practising their particular parts this week.  If this date does not suit we will video our play and put it on our class blog for those of you who will miss it in the flesh!  

With regards to our shared lunch please don’t feel the need to bring HEAPS of extra food - just a small plate to be shared would be lovely.

Tuesday's Weather

Today it was raining on the way to school.  The bins blew over in the wind.  What a mess!

Oh my gosh it is sooooooooo windy and cold today.  We must be careful with the doors so our fingers don't get jammed.

Today we are feeling nice and warm inside Room 5 but it is chilly outside.

It is a mixture of weather today. It's abit sunny and abit cloudy.  Malcom from room 9 is helping us today.  It is the last day

of PMP.

Cross Country

Wow it was cross country today and didn't we do well!  Way to go room 5.  Each and every one of you persisted and tried your very best.  Our very own Livvie got third in the 5 year old girls race and she has only been at school for a few weeks.
It was fantastic to see you cheering on the other runners like Adin and Ruby are doing in the photo.

Tuesday's Weather

Today is a mixture.  It is sunny and cloudy.  We have cross country and we are all going to try our very best.  When we are puffed we will walk fast and then run again.

Today it is sunny and it makes us feel happy.  Tomorrow is cross country!

Thursday's Weather

Today is is STILL raining and we have had to postpone our Cross Country - Elsie will be pleased that we are going to do our cross country when she is back!  Today is a lovely wet day to get lots and lots of learning done.

Wednesdays Weather

Today is Aiden's first day at school.  He is awesome.  Today it might rain.  We hope Elsie had a safe trip and we miss her.

Sebastian's first day

Today is a mixture of a day.  It is sunny and cloudy and alittle bit rainy.  Happy birthday Sebastian.

Check out our b's!

Forming the letter b is very tricky.  It is important that we make sure our b's are facing the right way.  Today in phonics we tried very hard when we drew the letter b.

Monday's Weather

Wow it is sunny.  We are going to practice our cross country today.  

Friday's Weather

Today it is cloudy and we are pretty sure it is going to rain!  We are looking forward to discovery today.  We also have a treat for our Dad's we are going to work on today..... stay tuned!

Today is a funny day - it is sunny then raining then sunny....we want the rain to go away so we can get outside for our cross country practice!
